The Yakovlev Yak-15 was a Soviet jet fighter that first flew in 1945, becoming one of the earliest operational jet aircraft and serving as a technology demonstrator during the early Cold War era. It was notable for being one of the first Soviet jets to see service, though it was quickly superseded by more advanced designs and saw limited operational use before being retired in the early 1950s.
