The Vickers Wellesley was a British light bomber aircraft that entered service in 1937 and saw extensive use during the early years of World War II, particularly in North Africa and the Middle East. It was notable for its innovative geodetic construction method, which provided exceptional strength while maintaining a light weight, and holds the world record for the longest-range flight by a land-based aircraft, set in 1938.
