The V-1, also known as the "Flying Bomb" or "Buzz Bomb," was a German cruise missile used during World War II from June 1944 to March 1945, primarily targeting London and southeastern England with over 9,000 launches. It was notable as the first cruise missile ever deployed in combat and was powered by a pulse jet engine, making it cheaper and faster to produce than conventional aircraft.
