USS Cairo Miniature designed for tabletop wargaming, historical collections, scale model displays and miniature painting.
The USS Cairo was an ironclad gunboat built in 1862 that served the Union Navy during the American Civil War, becoming the first warship ever to be sunk by an electrically detonated naval mine (called a "torpedo" at the time) when it struck one in the Yazoo River in December 1862. The vessel was later raised and has been preserved as a museum ship, representing an important example of Civil War-era naval technology and ironclad design.
