The Tupolev SB-2 was a Soviet twin-engine monoplane bomber that first flew in 1934 and served extensively during the Spanish Civil War and early stages of World War II, earning a reputation as one of the fastest bombers of the mid-1930s. The M-100 variant was powered by Hispano-Suiza engines and represented the aircraft's primary production version before being gradually replaced by more advanced designs.
