The Junkers Ju 52, nicknamed "Tante Ju" (Aunt Ju) by German crews, was a three-engine transport aircraft that first flew in 1930 and served extensively during World War II for cargo and troop transport. It is remembered as one of the most reliable and durable aircraft of its era, known for its corrugated metal fuselage and continued use well into the postwar period by various nations.
