The Supermarine Seafire Mk.47 was a late-World War II and post-war British naval fighter aircraft, serving with the Royal Navy from 1946 onwards as a carrier-based interceptor known for its high speed and climb performance derived from the land-based Spitfire. It remained in service through the Korean War era before being phased out in the early 1950s, representing the final evolution of the Seafire line and one of the last piston-engine fighters operated by the Royal Navy.
