The Sturmgeschütz III was a German assault gun that served from 1940 onward, combining a 75mm gun with heavy armor on a Panzer III chassis, and the late variants (1943-1945) featured improved armor and firepower, becoming one of Nazi Germany's most widely produced armored vehicles. It was primarily used for infantry support, anti-tank combat, and fortified positions across all German theaters of World War II.
