The Stuart M5 was a light tank used by the United States and its allies during World War II, known for its speed and maneuverability in reconnaissance missions despite its thin armor protection. Side skirts were added to late-war variants to provide additional protection against shaped-charge anti-tank weapons and shrapnel.
