The M4 Sherman was the primary medium tank used by the United States Army during World War II and beyond, produced from 1942 onwards and renowned for its reliability, ease of production, and versatility despite being outgunned by many German tanks. It saw extensive combat in both the European and Pacific theaters and became one of the most iconic and widely-produced tanks of the war era.
