The Semovente M42 da 75/34 was an Italian self-propelled gun developed during World War II that mounted a 75mm gun on a modified P40 tank chassis, seeing limited combat use from 1943-1945. It is primarily remembered as Italy's attempt to create a mobile anti-tank and infantry support weapon late in the war, though it arrived too late and in insufficient numbers to significantly impact the conflict.
