The Sd.Kfz. 9 was a heavy half-track recovery vehicle used by Nazi Germany during World War II, primarily employed for towing damaged tanks and artillery pieces from the battlefield due to its exceptional pulling capacity of up to 18 tons. Produced from 1938 onwards, it became one of the most widely used German recovery vehicles of the war and saw service across all theaters of combat.
