The Nashorn (Rhinoceros) was a German tank destroyer of World War II that mounted an 88mm PaK 43 anti-tank gun on a Panther tank chassis, serving from 1943 onwards and renowned for its powerful long-range firepower and effectiveness against Allied armored vehicles. Its open-topped fighting compartment and lack of armor protection made it vulnerable to infantry and aircraft, but it remained one of the most feared German anti-tank weapons of the war's later stages.
