The Savoia-Marchetti SM.74 was an Italian transport aircraft developed in the 1930s, notable for its distinctive high-wing design and capable of carrying up to 16 passengers across European routes during the late 1930s and early 1940s. The aircraft earned its "Millepiedi" (Millipede) nickname from its multiple landing gear legs, which gave it unusual stability and allowed operation from unprepared airfields, making it valued by both civilian airlines and the Italian military.
