The SAV M43 was a French armored personnel carrier developed in the 1950s, used primarily by French forces during the Indochina War and later conflicts, and was notable for its innovative design combining protection with mobility in a compact chassis. It became one of the earliest dedicated APCs in widespread military service and influenced armored vehicle development throughout the Cold War era.
