The Ryan STM-2S was an advanced American liaison and observation aircraft developed during World War II, serving primarily with the U.S. Army Air Forces from the mid-1940s onward as a successor to earlier Ryan trainer models. It was known for its exceptional short-field performance, high visibility design with large windows, and reliable service in reconnaissance and personnel transport roles, though it saw limited production compared to other American military aircraft of the era.
