The Ryan PT-20 was a primary trainer aircraft used by the United States Army Air Forces during World War II, known for its low cost and effectiveness in teaching basic flight principles to student pilots. Produced from 1941-1943, the PT-20 and its variants became one of the most widely used trainer aircraft of the war, with thousands built to meet the massive demand for pilot training.
