The R-l was a Czech-manufactured light tankette based on the CKD AH-IV design, produced in the 1930s-1940s and exported to several nations including Romania, where it saw limited service during World War II. Known for its small profile, minimal armor, and single machine gun armament, the R-l represented the interwar trend toward cheap, mass-producible light tanks, though it quickly became obsolete against contemporary anti-tank weapons.
