The Panzerkampfwagen II Ausführung M was a German light tank used from 1942 onward, representing the final and most heavily armored variant of the Pz.Kpfw.II series with improved frontal protection. It saw service primarily in North Africa and on the Eastern Front, where it remained marginally effective despite being outgunned by contemporary medium and heavy tanks.
