The Piasecki HUP (Helicopter Utility Personnel) was a compact single-rotor helicopter developed in the late 1940s and widely used by the U.S. military throughout the 1950s for transport, rescue, and utility missions. It became one of the first helicopters to see extensive operational service and was renowned for its reliability and maneuverability in confined spaces.
