The Nakajima J1N1 was a Japanese twin-engine fighter aircraft developed during World War II, first introduced in 1943, and was notably used as a night fighter equipped with upward-firing cannons to intercept Allied bombers. It became one of Japan's primary nocturnal defense aircraft, credited with numerous kills against B-29 Superfortress bombers during the final years of the war.
