The Mitsubishi Ki-21, designated "Sally" by the Allies, was a Japanese medium bomber that served as the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force's primary bomber during the early-to-mid Pacific War from 1938 through 1944, known for its relatively high speed and operational range. The Ki-21-I variant, the initial production model, saw extensive combat in China and the Pacific before being succeeded by improved variants as Allied fighter opposition increased.
