The Mitsubishi A6M was a long-range carrier-based fighter aircraft used by the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II, renowned for its exceptional maneuverability and role as the primary fighter in the Pacific Theater from 1940 onwards. The A6M8 was one of the final variants, produced in 1944-1945, featuring improved engine power and armament in an attempt to counter increasingly advanced Allied aircraft.
