The Macchi C.200 Saetta was an Italian fighter aircraft that first flew in 1937 and served primarily during World War II, known for its exceptional maneuverability and sleek design despite being underpowered compared to contemporary Allied fighters. It became one of the Regia Aeronautica's most widely produced and respected aircraft, seeing extensive combat in North Africa, the Mediterranean, and over Europe before Italy's armistice in 1943.
