The M8 HMC (Howitzer Motor Carriage) was a self-propelled gun used by the United States during World War II and the Korean War, mounting a 75mm howitzer on a light tank chassis and serving as mobile artillery support for infantry divisions. It was known for its mobility and versatility, becoming one of the most widely produced American self-propelled guns of the war with over 1,700 units manufactured.
