The M7 Priest was a self-propelled gun used by the United States Army during World War II, featuring a 105mm howitzer mounted on a medium tank chassis and earning its nickname from the pulpit-like gun shield. It served as a primary indirect fire support weapon from 1942 through the end of the war and beyond, seeing extensive action in both the European and Pacific theaters.
