The M24 Chaffee was a lightweight tank developed by the United States during World War II and widely used from 1944 through the Korean War, known for its high speed, maneuverability, and effectiveness in reconnaissance and support roles despite lighter armor compared to medium tanks. The mudguard was a protective component attached to the tank's suspension and lower hull to shield mechanical parts from debris and mud encountered in varied combat and training environments.
