The M13/40 was an Italian medium tank produced from 1940-1942 that served as the primary tank of the Italian Army during World War II, known for its relatively modern design but limited armor protection and firepower compared to contemporary tanks. It saw extensive action in North Africa and on the Eastern Front before being largely obsoleted by superior Allied and German tank designs.
