The LVT-2 was an amphibious landing vehicle used by the United States during World War II, serving from 1942 onwards in both the Pacific and European theaters. It was renowned for its ability to transport troops and cargo across water and rough terrain, becoming instrumental in amphibious operations and earning the nickname "Alligator" among soldiers.
