The Lockheed PV-1 Ventura was a twin-engine American light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft used primarily by the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps during World War II, serving from 1942 onwards in anti-shipping, patrol, and bombing missions in the Pacific and other theaters. It was known for its speed, range, and versatility, becoming a workhorse for maritime patrol and strike operations throughout the war.
