The Lisunov Li-2 was a Soviet transport aircraft developed in the 1930s as an unlicensed copy of the American Douglas DC-3, serving extensively during World War II and beyond as a reliable cargo and passenger plane. It became one of the most widely used aircraft in the Soviet Union and its allies, known for its durability and versatility in diverse operational conditions.
