The Lavochkin La-7 was a Soviet fighter aircraft that entered service in 1944 and saw extensive use during the final year of World War II, known for its superior performance at low to medium altitudes and its role in achieving air superiority over Eastern Europe. It became one of the most capable Soviet fighters of the war and remained in service with various air forces into the early 1950s.
