The LAV-25 (Light Armored Vehicle) is a wheeled armored personnel carrier that entered service with the U.S. Marine Corps in 1983 and became widely recognized for its speed, mobility, and role in various military operations including the Gulf Wars and peacekeeping missions. The vehicle is distinguished by its eight-wheel drive system, amphibious capabilities, and modular turret design, which allowed it to be equipped with different weapon systems for diverse tactical roles.
