The Kyushu Q1W Tokai was a Japanese reconnaissance aircraft developed during World War II, first flying in 1943 and used primarily for long-range maritime patrol and anti-submarine operations in the Pacific Theater. It is notable for being one of Japan's few twin-engine reconnaissance aircraft and for its distinctive design featuring a search radar in a ventral pod beneath the fuselage.
