The KV-85 was a Soviet heavy tank developed in 1943 as an upgraded variant of the KV-1, featuring a more powerful 85mm gun and improved armor to compete with German heavy tanks on the Eastern Front. Though only a small number were produced before being superseded by the IS tank series, it represented a significant step in Soviet tank development during World War II.
