The Kawanishi H6K Mavis was a large Japanese flying boat used by the Imperial Navy during World War II, serving primarily from 1938 to 1945 as a long-range patrol and reconnaissance aircraft. It was notable for its impressive range and endurance, making it one of the most capable maritime patrol aircraft of its era and a frequent participant in operations across the Pacific Theater.
