The Junkers Ju-188 was a German twin-engine medium bomber and reconnaissance aircraft that entered service in 1943 as an improved successor to the Ju-88, featuring more powerful engines and enhanced performance. The E-4 variant was equipped with additional defensive armament and specialized for long-range reconnaissance missions, serving the Luftwaffe until the end of World War II in 1945.
