The ISU-122 was a Soviet self-propelled gun developed during World War II, featuring a 122mm gun mounted on a heavily armored chassis and first seeing combat in 1944. It became renowned for its powerful anti-tank and anti-fortification capabilities, serving as one of the Red Army's most effective tank destroyers through the end of the war and into the early Cold War period.
