The Heinkel He-59B was a German twin-engine biplane reconnaissance and air-sea rescue aircraft developed in the late 1920s and extensively used by the Luftwaffe from the early 1930s through World War II, serving primarily for coastal patrol, target spotting, and rescue operations. It became particularly notable for its air-sea rescue missions during the Battle of Britain and its use as a trainer and liaison aircraft later in the war.
