The Heinkel He-219 Uhu (Eagle Owl) was a German night fighter aircraft that entered service in 1943 and became one of the most effective Luftwaffe interceptors against Allied bombers, notably achieving numerous kills during RAF bombing raids over Germany. The aircraft was renowned for its advanced radar systems, speed, and heavy armament, making it one of the few German fighters that could effectively counter the RAF's night bombing campaign.
