The Heinkel He-177 Greif was a German heavy bomber developed during World War II, notable for being the only long-range bomber produced by Nazi Germany in significant numbers. Introduced in 1942, it was intended to serve as a strategic bombing platform but suffered from chronic engine problems and saw limited operational success before the war's end.
