The Graf Zeppelin was a German rigid airship (zeppelin) built in 1928 that became famous for its transatlantic passenger flights throughout the 1930s, completing over 590 flights before being destroyed in the Hindenburg disaster's aftermath in 1937. It was known for its luxury accommodations, reliability, and as a symbol of German engineering prowess during the interwar period.
