Known for its rugged construction, exceptional off-road capability, and versatility—earning the nickname "Deuce and a Half" for its 2.5-ton cargo capacity—the CCKW 253 variant featured an enclosed steel cab designed to protect the driver in harsh weather and combat conditions.
