The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was a German single-engine fighter aircraft that first saw combat in 1941 and became one of the Luftwaffe's most capable fighters throughout World War II. The F-8 variant was a ground-attack version optimized for close air support missions, featuring reinforced airframes and bomb racks, and served extensively on the Eastern Front from 1943 onward.
