The FMA IA-58 Pucará was an Argentine counter-insurgency aircraft developed in the 1970s and first flown in 1974, serving primarily with the Argentine Air Force during the Falkland Islands War in 1982 and subsequent decades. Known for its rugged design, twin turboprop engines, and ability to operate from unprepared airstrips, the Pucará was designed to provide close air support and armed reconnaissance capabilities in low-intensity conflict environments.
