The Embraer EMB 312 Tucano is a Brazilian turboprop trainer aircraft that first flew in 1983 and became widely adopted by air forces across multiple countries for basic and advanced pilot training due to its reliability, affordability, and excellent handling characteristics. The aircraft gained additional recognition for its successful deployment as a light attack platform in several military operations throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
