The Dornier Do-24 was a German flying boat developed in the 1930s and widely used by the Luftwaffe during World War II for long-range reconnaissance, search and rescue, and transport missions, becoming one of the most capable and versatile seaplanes of its era. The aircraft was notable for its three-engine design, exceptional range, and operational service not only with Germany but also with the Dutch, Italian, and Japanese navies throughout and after the war.
