The Dornier Do-17Z was a German medium bomber aircraft used by the Luftwaffe during World War II, serving from 1940 onwards as an improved variant of the earlier Do-17 series. Known as the "Flying Pencil" for its distinctive slender fuselage, the Do-17Z saw extensive action in the Battle of Britain and subsequent European campaigns before being largely phased out by 1943.
