The Curtiss SBC-4 Helldiver was a carrier-based dive bomber used by the United States Navy during the early stages of World War II, serving primarily from 1937 to 1943 before being replaced by the more capable SBD Dauntless. Known for its distinctive gull wing design and reliability, the SBC-4 saw combat in the Pacific Theater and participated in significant naval engagements during 1942.
