The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was a long-range heavy bomber used extensively by the United States and Allied forces during World War II, serving from 1941 onwards and becoming one of the most-produced aircraft of the war. The B-24G variant, equipped with a power-operated nose turret, was known for its ability to conduct deep-penetration bombing missions at high altitude and its superior range compared to other contemporary bombers.
